Details of all DSMs awarded during WW II, listed under the relevant London Gazette announcing the awards. The citation, date of the LG and page number are given and all are in chronological order. The first awards of the war were to members of the crew of HM Submarine Salmon, announced in LG dated 23.12.39. There is an alphabetical index of recipients and a separate one for recipients of Bars to the DSM.
