Pte Archie Henderson was born 6 July 1893 in Arranmore, Dunblane, Perthshire, Scotland. He attested with the 99th BN on 10 Dec 1915 and arrived in France with the 19th BN CEF on 6 Aug 1916. He was wounded several times on the following days - 15 Sept 16 (shell shocked), 25 Sept 16, 17 Jan 17 and 17 Apr 18. While in France he served with the 19th BN, 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th and 9th Field Artillery and the 8th and 10th Canadian Horse Artillery.
