Soldiers of the First World War – CEF
 


The CEF database is an index over over 600,000 Canadian personnel who served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War. The CEF database is an index to those personnel files, which are held by Library and Archives Canada. To date, over 800,000 images of Attestation papers have been scanned and are being made available on-line.



Soldiers of the South African War (1899 - 1902) 



A total of 7,368 Canadians and 12 Nursing Sisters served in South Africa during the Boer War. This research tool brings together three groups of records pertaining to the South African War: the service files, medal registers and land grant applications.

British Medal Information

This web site has been created as a free online information resource for collectors, medal recipients, people in possession of family medals or indeed anyone who has an interest in British medals.  Most medals featured are, by virtue of their numbers, military awards but the site also covers those awarded to the emergency services, civilians and certain volunteer organizations.  There are also a small number of foreign medals listed that have over the years been issued to British recipients and have received official sanction for wear.  The period covered by this site ranges from the earliest medals produced in the 1790’s to the present day.

Medal News - Token Publishing

Token Publishing was established in 1983 to publish one title, Coin and Medal News - a Magazine that had been in existence in one form or another since 1964. In 1989 the title was split in two, forming Coin News and Medal News. In 1994 Token published their first Medal Yearbook and a year later published their first Coin Yearbook. They are now firmly established as one of the major numismatic publishers in the UK and their products are sold worldwide. They now publish three Yearbooks as well as two monthly magazines and a range of other titles for the coin, medal, banknote and military enthusiast.
